Welcome to the Baker’s Chapel Ministries! We are a Pentecostal church located at 2421 Baker's Chapel Road in Smithfield. We are truly excited that you have come to visit our website and to follow Jesus Christ with us as we walk the faith journey together. Please understand that we are neither a perfect church nor perfect people. We're just us. Incredibly Ordinary; Real; and a bit rough around the edges at times. But we've learned that it is not ALL about us. It's about God!
There's no other explanation for what exists at Baker’s Chapel, other than the mighty hand of God!
We believe God has called and equipped each of us to be prayer warriors, not just members. By joining with us, we desire and even expect you to roll up your sleeves and be willing to join right in as His Spirit leads and equips you. You don't have to be a professional to be a prayer warrior of Jesus Christ, in fact, the ONLY professional is the Holy Spirit and if you are a born again believer and follower of Christ, He (the true professional) lives inside you and can accomplish His work through you as you surrender yourself to Him.
We've been given a God-sized task to make it hard for people to go to hell from anywhere in the world, starting right here in Johnston County, North Carolina.
Baker's Chapel has on ongoing mission and passion for God. Our mission is to share the word of GOD and continue seeking souls to be saved. Our passion consists of providing a place where people just like you can have a life-changing experience with God.
The things that happen at Baker's Chapel do not come about by our intelligence, strategy, or effort. God decided to swoop down and use us in spite of ourselves to bring His Light to a lost and dark world. This is purely and undeniably a work of God.
Finally, at Baker's Chapel we are a life-giving church, where there's relevant teaching, heart-felt worship, honest friendships, constant prayer, and compassionate care for those in need. It is and will always be our goal to infuse life and God's love into people and families through engaging, powerful worship services that offer the real biblical truth. To sum all of this up, we'd like to have the kind of contagious Christianity that can influence and encourage the entire community, one life at a time with your help.
